How to make;; Home-made Icecream ♥

How to make;; Home-made Icecream ♥
Hey My Loves,

Sick of having to trench for ages to the beach for an icecream? Well no more! Because I have an easy new recipe to get you all making fabulous icrecream in no time!

This takes a while to make but is well worth it so grab a friend and make it a day long activity, and then you can sit out and enjoy your ice cream after a days hard work?!?!?!?!

So heres the recipe! ♥

In keeping with tradition, this beautiful ice cream uses a pure and smooth vanilla custard as its base.

Serves 8-10 (makes about 2 litres)

Takes about 1 hour to make, plus 1 hour’s cooling, 2 hours’ chilling and 3 hours’ freezing

568ml carton double cream
568ml carton full-fat milk
2 vanilla pods, split lengthways
5 large free-range egg yolks
225g golden caster sugar

♥ 1. Put the cream and milk in a large, heavy-based saucepan. Add the vanilla pods and heat gently until almost boiling, then remove from the heat and leave to infuse for 20 minutes. Remove the vanilla pods, scrape out the seeds and mix into the cream. (Reserve the vanilla pods so you can re-use them, see above.)

♥ 2. Put the yolks, sugar and a pinch of salt in a bowl and beat for 3 minutes, using an electric hand whisk, until thick and pale – the beaters should leave a ribbon trail in the mixture. Gradually beat in the cream mix, then pour into a clean pan.

♥ 3. Cook over a very low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for about 10 minutes, until thickened. The custard should coat the back of the spoon and reach 75°C on a thermometer. Pour into a bowl and cover the surface with cling film to prevent a skin forming. Cool for 1 hour, then chill for at least 2 hours.

♥ 4. Churn the custard in an ice-cream maker, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, until thick but still soft enough to be spoonable. If you don’t have an ice-cream maker, you can make the ice cream by hand.

♥ 5. Transfer to a plastic, lidded, 2-litre container and put in the freezer for at least 3 hours or until firm enough to scoop.

And thats it! I hope you enjoyed this tip and please comment below if you have any queries about the recipe! ♥

Sincerely Saoirse x

HTW: Combat Boots
hi guys! Tiffany here. Since I love Combat boots, here's a tip on how to wear them.

First outfit:
Clothing:
-Skater Skirt
-Crop Top
-Bow

If you're going to use a skirt for combat boots, use a skater skirt. Skater skirts usually go with these boots than plain flat skirts. This skater skirt has built in suspenders. Wear a crop top with the skirt then tuck it in.

Hair: Tie your hair into a high ponytail and put a bow into it.
This outfit is kinda like Cher Lloyd.

Second Outfit:

Clothing:
-T-Shirt
-Denim Shorts rolled up
-High knee socks
-combat boots

For Shorts, they mostly go with every shoe. If you want to be more stylish with boots and shorts, add high knee socks. For the shirt, just wear a t-shirt. Tuck the shirt in to make it look better.

Hair: Curl your hair. And maybe (if you want to) add a hairband.

Third Outfit:

Clothing:
-Denim skater dress
-Floral crown
-Combat boots

With dresses, wear skater dresses. It looks better with it.Wear those dresses that the bottom puffs out a little bit. Not flat, but not big and round.

Hair: For Hair, if you're a bit girly and tom-boy then just add a floral crown. It's a mix of what you are.
Here's a tip on how to make a floral crown: http://www.polyvore.com/diy_floral_crown/set?id=84058337

Fourth Outfit:

Clothing:
-Jeans
-Plain t-shirt
-Beanie

If you're going to wear jeans, wear a t-shirt.It can be plain or anything else. The t-shirt can be tucked in a left out.

Hair: Straighten your hair (if it isn't) Or curl your hair (if it isn't) then, add a beanie. You'll look like a normal teenager or hipster

Hope you enjoy!~Tiffany @nialls-princess13

Perfecting Your Grand Jete

Perfecting Your Grand Jete
Hey everyone, Reveen here with a tip from one of my favourite past-times, dancing!

A Grand Jete (split leap) is a type of leap, that originated in classical ballet. Many dance forms have adapted to this movement.

Before you PERFECT a grand jete, you should have experience with actually doing a grand jete.

How To Do A Grand Jete: http://www.howcast.com/videos/494952-How-to-Do-a-Grand-Jete-Ballet-Dancing

_______________________________________
Now that that's over, here are a few tips to perfecting your grand jete.

• Build your leg strength.
Its all about your legs. To leap high, with your legs in midair, you need to strengthen those legs. Try some barre exercises.

• Increase your flexibility. A greater range of motion will allow for more split in the legs. Stretch when you are warm and be sure to work on the hip flexors (the muscles in front of the hip that lengthen when your leg is extended behind) as well as the inner thigh, and hamstrings.

• Conserve your energy on the preparatory movement before the jeté, using it only to build a bit of momentum.

• The back leg must follow immediately with a battement, disengaging powerfully from the floor. This is what directs the movement forward in space.

• Maintain a sense of lift on the landing of the jeté, rolling through the foot (toe-ball-heel) and descending into a supported plié..

• Be aware of your breath during a grand jeté. Many people find that inhaling as the leap is initiated is beneficial for feeling suspension in the air, however, find what works for you!

I hope you all enjoyed. Also, Comment if you're a gymnast, or dancer and your experience with grand jetes!

Peace. Love. Happiness.
